Environmental sound impact

Passive acoustics uses sound production in fishes in order to identify and follow populations in the field. This non invasive and nondestructive technique will be used in order to study the phenology of sound production from species living in different biotopes. These data will be correlated with environmental data and the influence of anthropogenic noise on the vocal activity will also be tested. This founding study also aims to seek the best way to describe the acoustic environment of a given biotope according to some characteristic animals.
