The sea anemone represented in the video sequences is based on several observations and not on a particular species. The organism presented has been simplified, which explains the low number of septa and tentacles. In general, this organism belongs to the cnidarian branch (characterized mainly by their stinging cells, cnidocytes) and to the Anthozoa sub-branch, which is characterized by a polyp phase maintained throughout the animal's life. More precisely, the presence of 12 tentacles and 12 septes (2 x 6) makes it possible to underline that it is a hexacoralliar. The animal rests on a limestone base made from its epidermis. The videos also highlight that connections can exist between different individuals when they live in colonies.
